Production of conditional ingots from wastes of heat resistant super alloys

           Waste superalloys in the foundry industry are technologically inevitable residue of the original alloy, not included in the weight of suitable castings. Refining waste problem superalloys consists in the fact that during the preparation of the starting materials of blades on producing enterprises GTE accumulates a large amounts of waste caused by casting marriage marriage forms, etc. presence profits and others. The high cost of primary superalloys led to the appearance tendencies of use in burdening heats casting blades of foundry waste, thus reducing production costs.

        

          Scientific-Production Enterprise "ELTEHMASH" developed the original industrial electron beam processing technology heat resistant alloy ЖС-26ВИ. Chemical analysis of the obtained ingots after machining diameter of 95-97 mm and 300-320 mm in length shown in Table 1.

       

          The above data confirm full compliance with the chemical composition of the ingots TU 1-92-177-91 requirements. Electron beam melting (EBM) leads to a substantial reduction of harmful impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, oxygen and nitrogen. According to its quality ingots after EBM superior raw material (billet alloy Ø80 ЖС-26ВИ) of JSC "CM Company" (Stupino, Russia), obtained in a vacuum furnace method equiaxed crystallization.

          Alloy ingots ЖС26-ВИ after EBM derived from the return of waste, completed the full cycle of tests at JSC "Motor Sich" (Zaporojie) and is currently used as starting materials in casting gas turbine blades.

          Produced also the first batch 300 kg ingots of alloy ЖС-32, obtained by electron beam melting the wastes.
